The main focus of the forum was to discuss topics of why sufferers tend to give up as the treatment process continues. In addition, we had some time to speak to a credited dermatologist whom we had the liberty to ask as many questions to as we desired. @paisleyandpearls I don’t think the tea tree will heal you of your acne. You need to use a retinoid with an antibacterial aspect like benzoyl peroxide. Minor to moderate acne can be treated with just the antibacterial aspect like benzoyl peroxide for many people.

@onecrazyfrau There’s no way it can damage you skin. Retinoids HELP skin. It will be harsh in the beginning, but eventually you’ll see positive results. If it damaged your skin, the product wouldn’t be recommended and prescribed by all dermatologists around the world and it wouldn’t be provided in our market.

@OhBeauty88 Thanks for putting my mind to ease. I’m just scared that it’ll thin it too much or something (as you can see, my knowledge of Retinols is very much limited).
What make up was okay to use while doing this process, if you used any at all?
Wow! You cleared up neatly. I am an acne sufferer myself and very scared to use these products. Though I believe they will work, I think the most important thing to take care of your hormonal imbalance – which is the real cause.
i went on accutain 3 years ago it cleared up my acne for 2 years but the last year i have slowly seen the pimples comming back and now i am back to having full on acne but still extreamly sensitive thanks to the accutain! if i could i would have never gone on accutain it left my with life less skin with fine lines and im only 19 ! and now to have m acne back is heart braking ! x

What do you think about proactiv healing acne?
how did you get educated about all this? from books, internet? becuase i really want to know about skincare and you seem so informed! i am currently using ReTrieve from the dermatologist (a tretinoin cream), and 5% benzoyl peroxide on the nights i dont use the cream, and the mornings. ive been on it for almost 3 weeks and i am seeing some results, but i jut got off antibiotics as well, so i’m really scared my acne will come back as bad as before
